Latest Updates 25th November 2009 To all Attendees of the 41st ANF AGM and Convention being held at Kiata Country Club on the 30th December 2009 to the 3rd January 2010 Dear Attendee As you may be aware all ANF affiliates were advised this week, by the ANF Executive, that the location of the Annual General Assembly (AGM) on the 30th December 2009 has been moved from Kiata Country Club to the Pitt Town Sports Club. This venue change was prompted by the ANF Executive’s refusal to have public liability insurance for their event as requested by our insurance brokers. Consequently the 41st Convention and AGM of the ANF at Kiata has been cancelled. However Kiata intends to now hold a festival as previously planned but are hosting it as a Kiata function instead. Nothing will change except for additional activities that will be put on during the period that the ANF’s AGM would have been on. Kiata is pleased to continue all current bookings and welcome all registered attendees, members and their guests to this function. As stated, all activities will continue as planned and further activities will be provided for those not attending the ANF assembly at the Pitt Town Sports Club. We also must stress that while you are at Kiata and involved in any activities on our premises you are covered by our insurance. This is an unfortunate situation but Kiata feels that it has acted in a professional business like manner and has done everything in its power to avoid this outcome. It is important to understand that Kiata’s concern has always been for the protection, safety and enjoyment of all while on our premises. We have sent a detailed explanation of the events that led to this action by the ANF to all ANF affiliates and the ANF Executive. Your club should be able to supply you with a copy of this explanation letter that we sent or we can provide a copy by email to any registered attendee upon request.
